TOGETHER, WE STRENGTHEN THE FUTURE OF PIG FARMING.
Research in swine production with scientific rigor, specialized infrastructure, and reliable results to drive innovation in animal production.
Our research center is located in Fartura, São Paulo — 350 km from the capital of São Paulo, 230 km from Londrina (PR) and 380 km from Curitiba (PR).
These are modern, versatile, and high-capacity facilities, with a high number of repetitions to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of the results, flexibility to develop different protocols, and the possibility of conducting trials on commercial farms as well. Akei's own facilities are equivalent to those used by the Brazilian agribusiness industry.
Structure of experimental units, own feed mill, biodigester and solar panels, room for collection/processing of biological samples.

Capacity
Six specialized units for Nursery, Growth/Finishing, and Wean to Finish.
External units for projects with breeding sows in the reproductive phases (gestation and lactation) and suckling piglets.
Key differentiators
An identification system that ensures traceability, zootechnical control, and precise monitoring of each animal.
We perform periodic weighings, pregnancy diagnosis, and backfat thickness assessments.
Continuous monitoring of temperature and humidity to ensure animal welfare and maintain ideal production conditions.
We produce our own animal feed with a focus on research and SGB validation, ensuring quality and nutritional standardization.
We invest in clean and renewable energy through biodigesters and photovoltaic systems, reducing environmental impacts.
A structured environment for collecting, processing, and storing samples, ensuring quality and reliability in analyses.
Environment designed and built according to the standards required by regulatory bodies.
In addition to our research center, we run protocols directly on partner commercial farms, bringing scientific rigor to the reality of production at scale, including operations with automated feeding and precision monitoring.
We conduct efficiency, effectiveness, and residue studies in accordance with MAPA requirements, supporting product registration.
We prepare complete technical dossiers for product registration and renewal, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Our studies follow Good Clinical Practices and regulatory requirements, ensuring quality and traceability of results.
MScs and specialists, plus our own Ethics Committee, ensuring scientific rigor in every study.
We transform research results into scientific articles, contributing to the generation and dissemination of knowledge.
Each unit features different types of waterers, feeders, and flooring, allowing for comparisons and customized protocols to meet each client's needs.
